In light of the recent assassination of Charlie Kirk, it is overwhelmingly apparent that our society, especially in the West, is desensitized to the horrors of evil forces. Looking back to the Garden of Eden, we can see that humanity was not created by God to witness the atrocity of evil. The initial creation was for humanity to live in perfect communion with our Father as image bearers, reflecting His nature back to him. (Gen 1:26–31).

Obviously, that was impeded by the sin of Adam, causing humanity to fall into depravity. With that original sin came the becoming like God in the knowledge of good and evil. (Gen 3:22) Now, with that said, Jesus Christ is the ultimate redemption that led us back into full communion with God our Father through his perfect life, death, and resurrection. (John 3:16-21; 1 Cor 15:20-26)

Going back to the creation of humanity, we can see that God created us for perfect communion with him, to celebrate life, not death. Death came later through sin, not through humanity’s creation. (Rom 5:12)

However, the stain of that original sin can be witnessed in those who reject the perfect divine gift of God through Jesus Christ. That is why we see the outright demonic behavior of those who celebrate the horrific assassination of Charlie Kirk. The complete celebration of someone’s public execution is by definition the manifestation of demonic forces through those who reject Christ’s authentic gospel. (Eph 6:12; John 10:10)

Do you wonder why those who celebrate this atrocity against life seem to be unfazed by the complete horror of a life ended? Is it simply them acting according to the effects of original sin with hardened hearts (Eph 4:18), or even possibly the overconsumption of demonic mass media, causing them to be desensitized to what is good? Maybe even it is a combination of both of these things; Hollywood and the music industry tend to speak as a mouthpiece for evil. The mainstream media overwhelmingly catechizes us into a nihilistic view of humanity.[1] This can be seen in the glorification of vengeance and aesthetics that are unequivocally pornified.[2]

The authentic church needs to rise up and walk what she preaches. It’s time for all believers, no matter the aisle, to learn to be empathetic and weep with those affected in this time. (Rom 12:15; Matt 5:4) To see that those who claim to be believers in Christ Jesus, celebrating the death of Charlie Kirk, are completely Antichrist. Do they not know that they should not celebrate his death (Prov 24:17) but instead pray for and bless him and his family, even if they disagree with his worldview. (Matt 5:43-48; Rom 12:14–21)
